History

As an auditing and tax consultancy firm, we have been active for our clients for over 45 years. The company’s history began in 1972 in Kriftel and goes back to the tax consultancy firm set up by the company’s founder and namesake WP/StB Theo Klug. The addition of Klaus Engelhard as a partner led to the founding of Klug & Engelhard GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungs- und Steuerberatungsgesellschaft in 1980.

Looking to the future, the children of the founder, WP/StB Dr. Andreas Klug and WP/StB Cornelia Dörr, joined the management of the firm in 2000. They were joined by another competent partner, Martin Oehl. Together they continue the successful work of the firm in the second generation with 14 qualified professionals and a total of around 50 employees – growing steadily.

Our team consists of roughly 50 highly committed and qualified employees. We are active, motivated and experienced tax consultants, auditors, business graduates, tax specialists, tax assistants, accountants, payroll and financial accountants as well as secretarial staff.     In 2005, we joined the BAN e.V. – a cooperation of independent auditors – in order to do justice to the increasingly diverse range of tasks in the field of tax consultancy and auditing.
