History

As an auditing and tax advisory firm, we have been serving our clients for over 50 years. The firm’s history dates back to 1972 in Kriftel and originates from the tax consultancy practice established by the founder and namesake, certified public auditor and tax advisor Theo Klug. The admission of tax advisor Klaus Engelhard as a partner led to the founding of Klug & Engelhard GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungs- und Steuerberatungsgesellschaft in 1980.

With a view to the future, the founder’s children, certified public auditor and tax advisor Dr. Andreas Klug and certified public auditor and tax advisor Cornelia Dörr, joined the firm’s management in 2000. They were joined by two additional highly qualified partners, tax advisor Martin Oehl and tax advisor Christoph Zenzen. Together, they continue the firm’s successful work into the second generation, now with a total of 18 qualified professionals and more than 70 employees overall, and the firm continues to grow steadily.
